Leivadia, lying ca. 700 m. N to ancient Aiani (Megali Rachi Hill), is known for a cemetery in use from the Mycenaean to the Hel periods and for its "royal" monumental A and Cl graves. The information on Iron Age is limited. In total 6 graves are reported. They are not fully published but described in the different reports (the grave 4-5 are disturbed). The chronology is not specified for all of them. Only Tomb 2 has been dated to the 7th or the early 6th c. BC. Inhumation in pits (4 graves) and cists (2 graves) prevailed. They are individual or collective (secondary deposit of previous burials found in some graves). Grave goods included pottery (handmade (jugs, kantharoi -- unlike the Mycenaean cemetery where alabastra are also frequent), a few jewellery (pins, fibulae), some weapons (sword, spearheads) and an iron knife.
