The dedicatory inscription mentioning Enyalios on an early 5th c. bronze helmet points to Ares as the cult recipient, worshipped with this epithet elsewhere in the Argolid too. The sanctuary undergone a severe catastrophe sometime in the early Cl period, probably to be associated with the destruction of Mycenae by the Argives in 468 BC.
