According to L. Rey's topographic chart, the trapeza on the foothills has 340m. length, 150m. width and its overall height is 10m. A total of five building phases have been ascertained, ranging from the 9th to the 4th c. BC. According to Lioutas and Tzanavari evidence from the settlement date already from the 10th c. BC. In 2007 rescue excavation in two neighboring plots at the NE part of the table (I. Atmatzidis plot, E. Kapnidou plot) continued revealed more EIA remains. In the Atmatzidis plot archaeological deposits were revealed on the edge of the table and they are dated from the early phases of EIA until the A period. In the Kapnidou plot, the deposits date from the EIA until the 4th c. BC. A small number of EIA walls and pits were discovered in such a fragmentary state, though their function cannot be determined. Remains of houses and 5 wells of the A period have also been uncovered. The settlement was alive from the EIA untill the 4th c. BC. In 2010 the greek archaeological service began excavations in this settlement (plot Atmatzidi) and 4 different phaces came to light. The 1st phase: 5 pits were revealed. Their diameter was 0.60-1.20m and their surviving depth was 0.30-0.60m. From the interior of the pits they collected pottery, bones, sea shells, and remains from pyra. The handmade pottery has been dated in the EIA. 2nd phase: 3 walls made of bricks were revealed. They were parallels and they were oriented from W to E. Their width was 0.30m, their surviving height was 0.35m and their surviving length was 1.0-1.80m. They can be dated in the EIA, but the archaeologists didn't confirm the way these walls are connected and in what type of building they belonged to. The date for the 3rd phase (3 walls almost parallel were revealed in that layer) and the 4th phase (no more new constructions were revealed in this phase) is not specified, since the pottery that was collected from these phases can be dated from the G till the LA period. At the NW corner of the plot and outside of the building that was excavated, the archaeologists revealed an underground rounded construction made by rocks. This construction can be dated in the A period, but its use is not specified until now. In 2010, rescue excavation began (plot Kapnidou) in the NE part of the Lebet bank. 2 walls were revealed; the 1st is chronologically earlier than the 2nd. Due to the pottery that was found, both walls can be dated in the EIA and not until the 9th c. BC. At the SE part of the plot (test trenches were opened) the layers that were excavated can be dated in the same period with the walls. Also 4 underground rounded constructions made by rocks were revealed. The 3 were researched. Their diameter was 1.0-1.30m. According to the materials fro the interior of these constructions, the researchers supposed that they were used as pits. From the interior of these constructions, it was collected pottery, sea shells, animal bones, rocks, bricks, tiles and small finds (parts from clay lamps). In the N part of the plot there were revealed 2 rooms. The foundations of these rooms have been dated in the EIA. It is beleived that the roof of the rooms was made by wood and organic materials and not by tiles. The floor was made by clay. In the interior of the 1st room 3 small cases were revealed. 23 clay vessels were collected in good condition from the interior (they were used for liquid and solid food and for storage). The building was destroyed from fire and probably it was abandoned in the 5th c. BC.
